tweri Alzheimer caregiver gets the special prize from The App Date 2011's jury

tweri, the mobile phone application which locates people with Alzheimer's disease, has been chosen between more than 60 candidates to the App Award

Every year The App Date and Movistar award the best app. More than 60 applications have been elected as candidates to win The App Award on 2011. One of them was tweri Alzheimer caregiver, which finally won the jury's special prize.

This tool, that was developed by the company solusoft in collaboration with AFAL Getafe -an association formed by relatives of people with Alzheimer's-, tries to give the affected by Alzheimer's autonomy and freedom by controlling and locating them, so as to give their caregivers peace of mind.

In this edition The App Award's jury was formed by a group of experts as important as the Spanish journalist Rosa Jiménez Cano, the Ablah developer, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, the president of Antena 3 Films, Mikel Lejarza Ortiz, the developer and winner of The App Hunter, David Carrascosa, creative partner in The App Date Kuki Bastos  and Rodrigo Pineda, director of new services from Movistar Spain.

Minube was chosen the best application of this year. This mobile phone application is a collection of free travel guides which are written with the help of the users.
